Creating Memories Instead of Chasing Dreams
Fresh off my Iceland trip, I started a heritage journey in Ireland with a visit to the Blarney Stone in Cork. Despite COVID-19’s impact, the experience was unforgettable. I kissed the Blarney Stone, which is believed to grant eloquence, and enjoyed exploring Cork and its historic sites before heading to Limerick.
On our final day of Iceland road-tripping, we explored Diamond Beach’s glistening ice chunks, took a glacier tour at Fjallsárlón, and hiked to Svartifoss and Fjaðrárgljúfur’s stunning landscapes. We capped off the trip with breathtaking views of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, where walking behind the falls offered a unique perspective.
Today’s journey took us from Dettifoss’s impressive east side to the stunning Stuðlagil Canyon, Rjúkandafoss, Hengifoss, and Vestrahorn. We ended the day at Camping Höfn, ready to wrap up our Icelandic adventure.
On July 24th, 2022, we explored Mývatn, Iceland’s geothermal gem, with a day of relaxation and adventure. From the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Grjótagjá and Hverfjall to the awe-inspiring power of Dettifoss and the soothing Mývatn Nature Baths, this region offered an unforgettable mix of natural wonders and serene experiences.
After a 36-hour travel marathon without sleep, we kicked off our Iceland adventure at Barnafoss and Glanni Waterfall before hiking the Grábrók Crater. We continued to Hvítserkur, explored the Vaðlaheiði Tunnel, and ended the day at Goðafoss and the picturesque Vogar campsite.
