Creating Memories Instead of Chasing Dreams
My COVID summer trip of 2021 led me to Lake Como, where I enjoyed a scenic train ride from Zurich through the Gotthard Base Tunnel and a breathtaking funicular ride up to Brunate. A delightful ferry ride to Bellagio offered stunning lake views and charming cobblestone streets, making it a memorable start to my Italian adventure.
Today I embarked on a roundtrip journey from St. Gallen, Switzerland to Innsbruck, Austria, to reconnect with my friend Daniel from our undergraduate years. Despite spending more time traveling than in Austria, the scenic train ride through the Alps and a sunny day in Innsbruck made it a worthwhile adventure.
During my journey to visit 35 countries by age 35, Vaduz, Liechtenstein stood out as a charming micro-nation. From exploring Vaduz Castle and St. Florin Cathedral to collecting passport stamps, its compact size and stunning vistas made for an unforgettable visit
We traveled by train from Bern to Zurich, enjoying the scenic beauty and exploring Zurich’s historic Old Town, Lake Zurich, and the FIFA Museum. Our stay in the suburb of Kloten was convenient for transit, and despite some weather disruptions, we had a memorable trip and look forward to returning for more outdoor adventures.
Due to making last minute plans, I take my first Train in Switzerland to Lausanne for overnight before heading to Geneva.
