Creating Memories Instead of Chasing Dreams
Today I embarked on a roundtrip journey from St. Gallen, Switzerland to Innsbruck, Austria, to reconnect with my friend Daniel from our undergraduate years. Despite spending more time traveling than in Austria, the scenic train ride through the Alps and a sunny day in Innsbruck made it a worthwhile adventure.
During my journey to visit 35 countries by age 35, Vaduz, Liechtenstein stood out as a charming micro-nation. From exploring Vaduz Castle and St. Florin Cathedral to collecting passport stamps, its compact size and stunning vistas made for an unforgettable visit
Leaving Munich in the morning, I finally experienced driving on the Autobahn, but the thrill was short-lived due to frequent speed restrictions. After exploring the charming town of Appenzell and enjoying a fascinating cheese tour at Appenzeller Schaukäserei, we embarked on a rewarding hike to the stunning Seealpsee Alpine lake.
After finishing university, I traveled through New Zealand and met Paul from Switzerland during a tour in Rotorua. Recently, Paul invited me to Switzerland for hiking as their COVID-19 restrictions lifted, leading me to take a flight to Munich and experience Germany’s pandemic protocols before reuniting with him for a brief stay in Munich, exploring the old town and enjoying local cuisine at Hofbräuhaus München.
